Sara Richter-the Brain behind Learning Brains Design.

Hello! Welcome! My name is Sara R. and I am the voice and creator behind Learning Brains Design. I am a Southern California native with a midwestern twist, a desire for curiosity and strength in knowledge through interactive and engaging learning.

My love for instructional design began when a opportunity became available at my current employer for an instructional designer in 2017. I had never heard of the subject or the job before so I did a lot of research about the description and requirements of this unique and extremely important field. Once filled with the knowledge of what instructional design is, I felt it was both my internal calling and instinctual skills combined in my true passion to help understand any topic just a little more.

So I began a journey that led to pursuing my 2nd Master degree, this time in Science with a major of Instructional Design & Technology. This was with the hopes to work in this industry that has developed a great need due to COVID through telecommunication and learning.So– Here I am, graduated as of May 2023.

I work in both Articulate Storyline 460, a little I’m Rise 360 & Adobe Captivate. I have used many different types of graphic design programs like Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite. I have taken some basic graphic design courses and have beginning experience in a few different learning management systems such as Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard . I also understand both mac OS, google and windows-based operating systems. I am working on my developer skills in coding, developing small games, and even using AI, VR and augmented reality. I am a fast learner and many times operate best by being thrown into new challenging environments as I tend to rise to the level of those around me.

As a side note: I am also by nature a musician, an artist and creator alongside my day job as an auto claims adjuster and theologian by trade. I love dogs, Disney, reading, travel, a good laugh and a thought-provoking book every now and again.

My passion IS learning and helping people to do it.
